Employee Satisfaction and Retention Maintaining employee satisfaction is an important part of running a successful organization in today’s fast paced economy. Satisfied employees bring innovative ideas spurring growth for companies. Without a content and motivated workforce companies face stagnation and are at risk of being out-performed by their competitors. In the modern workplace employers must invest in more than just salary to ensure employee satisfaction and retention, studies show that employees are looking for positions in companies that provide family benefits, job enrichment programs and workplace flexibility. Many companies are finding that family benefits are an important factor in employee satisfaction and retention. This trend did not go unnoticed by the mail order and steaming movie company Netflix.
